Religious Weddings: Greek Orthodox Weddings can be performed at Domes of Elounda. The ceremony is performed by a Greek Orthodox minister inside or outside Domes Private Chapel or on the Spina Decks. Our chapel offers a bilingual priest on request upon his availability. As per the Orthodox Church of Crete at least one of the two spouses must be already christened as a Christian Orthodox and the other spouse christened as Christian (Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican – for non denominational Christianity churches a compatibility enquiry to the Orthodox Church of Crete is required). The Orthodox is a legitimate wedding and offers full civil rights to the couple. Please find the documentation required in the relevant section. Church of England, Christian Catholic Church and other non denominational sects of Christianity do maintain chapters in Greece yet they avoid offering wedding permits to foreign nationals.Civil Weddings: Civil Weddings can be performed at Domes of Elounda. The ceremony is performed by the Mayor or his associates outside Domes Private Chapel, on Spina Decks or in The Pier. The wedding is legitimate and offers full civil rights to the couple. Please find the documentation required in the relevant section.Symbolic Weddings and Vow Renewals: Couples that wish to avoid the paperwork of a Religious or a Civil wedding abroad (official translations, visits to the embassy etc) may wish to perform a civil wedding in the comfort of their countries getting over with the practicalities involved and we will then organize their dream wedding at Domes of Elounda. Symbolic weddings may be performed outside Domes Private Chapel, on Spina Decks or on The Pier. A symbolic wedding is more flexible, the couple may write their own vows and generate a unique outcome exactly as per each couple’s tastes and likes. Symbolic weddings may have music background or anything that a couple may request during the ceremony.
